Considered the standard by which all other airflow devices are compared, Pitot tubes are well suited for mid to high-velocity airflow measurement. These anemometers can be used at elevated temperatures and within ducting, making them ideal for exhaust flue measurement or applications where hotwire anemometers would be considered dangerous (volatile gas).
