Sun's new UltraSPARC IV+ 64-bit Chip Multithreading (CMT) processor has significantly
enhanced cores, 2-MB on-chip L2 cache, and a new 32-MB L3 cache using the latest
90nm process technology. It delivers over 5 times higher performance than UltraSPARC
III servers, and over double the performance of previous generation UltraSPARC
IV servers in the same footprint. The UltraSPARC IV+ processor is supported
in previous generation Sun Fire E25K and 15K servers via in-chassis upgrades
