Application:
Tuning a home made VLF loop antenna required me to inductively couple an audio frequency to my new loop and add capacitors to it in parallel until it resonated at 24 kHZ.
General Comments:
I especially liked the cost. The next lower cost units offer only a set of discrete frequencies, while the Instek let me dial in a frequency. Dial readings are easily misjudged, so I checked the value by reading the direct input to my oscilloscope. That means maximum AF output must be applied to the loop, and minimum output directly to the scope. The Instek has a click-stop signal attenuation dial from zero through -50 dB, and an amplitude control knob. Just what I needed for both cases.
