The Rigol DS1000 series is the first MSO (Mixed Signal Oscilloscope) in the same range of oscilloscopes. "An excellent value for the features. 16 digital channels plus two analog channels within the small footprint is great. The response of the controls is excellent. Has one annoying feature: at regular intervals, goes through some kind of re-adjustment. The display freezes for about a second or two and you can hear clicking similar to when it powers up or when you change between certain voltage scales. There seems to be a lot of noise on the signals. Using the built-in digital low-pass filter can get rid of some of this but it seems high compared to the more popular scope brands that I've used. Saving waveforms to a USB memory key is great, it works with my 16G key just fine. It does take a while to save waveforms, no matter if it's internal or external."
