The Magnetic Field HiTester Model 3470 is an instrument for measuring human exposure to magnetic fields in compliance evaluation tests as defined by international standard IEC 62233 and European standard EN 50366.
It measures rms flux density in T (Tesla) and G (Gauss) and field strength in A/m (amperes per meter) on three orthogonal axes and provides the composite value for the three axes, displayable as a percentage relative to the reference guideline defined by the international standards.

• Measures exposure levels for compliance evaluation testing: Model 3470 measures the flux density of human exposure, as well as the ambient flux density in the general environment. Performs time domain evaluation (exposure level evaluation) as defined by IEC 62233 and EN 50366.
• Choice of two magnetic field sensors: to suit various measurement objectives, two magnetic field sensors are available, one with 100 cm2 cross-sectional area, and another with 3 cm2 area. The 100 cm2 Model 3471 is a general-purpose sensor designed for IEC and EN standards testing, and the cm2 Model 3472 is ideal for determining the spatial distribution of magnetic fields.
• Memory function stores measurement data: up to 99 measurements can be stored.
• PC application program: three simple and convenient functions are provided via USB connection: rms logger, batch acquisition and remote setup.
• 10 Hz to 400 kHz measurement frequency range: broad coverage of commercial mains and IH (induction heating) frequencies.
• Plenty of output functions: three axis and composite rms waveform output to a recorder or oscilloscope. The three axes and composite rms values (rms logger) can be viewed using the PC application.
• Three selectable measurement units: flux density in T (Tesla) and G (Gauss), and field strength in A/m (amperes per meter).
