The Wohler Threaded Perlon Chimney Sweeping Brushes are used along with a Viper system to do light cleaning of stainless steel ducts. The M10 male threaded brush attaches to the end of the GRP rod and can be used for all Wohler Viper systems except for the Mini and Compact.
What Brush Size and Type is right for me? Brushes should be roughly 2" larger than the diameter of the duct being cleaned to ensure proper contact with the duct walls. Brush Types: Stainless Steel Crimp Wire: Thin stainless steel wires that have been crimped. Excellent for soft to medium soot in all chimneys. Stainless Steel Flat Wire: Premium flat wire for harder deposits in masonry/tile chimneys. Perlon: Black plastic fiber for light condition sweeping in stainless steel chimneys. Heat tolerant to 122°F. PEK: High Tech Synthetic Fiber for light condition sweeping in stainless steel chimneys, ducts, or pellet stoves. Heat tolerant to 300°F (Higher Temperature tolerance available).
