The Trend Network R151005 NaviTEK NT Plus is a network tester for troubleshooting and maintenance of active and passive copper networks. The NaviTEK NT Plus performs a number of tests to determine as much information as possible about a network and port to which it is connected. OverviewThe principle operation of the NaviTEK NT network cable tester is that it automatically configures itself to match the characteristics of the connected port, whether it is an un-terminated cable or a live copper switch port, and runs tests appropriate to that configuration. These tests give information about the port, such as the switch MAC address and identification, as well as confirm that the port has been properly configured and is capable of reaching several strategic targets in the local network and the Internet. These tests may be customized if necessary.

The NaviTEK NT Plus autotest feature performs an array of network tests: Internet connectivity (Ping, DNS, Gateway, Traceroute) and Netscan. The test results are saved automatically after each test. The autotest feature allows a technician to save time by moving from port to port, testing, and having the results saved automatically from each port. Once all the required network ports have been tested, the saved reports can be uploaded either using a USB memory key to a PC or via Wi-Fi to a smartphone for transfer to client databases or colleagues for further analysis. The NaviTEK NT Plus copper network troubleshooter is compatible with the Trend AnyWARE app, which allows a technician to send test data from anywhere using the free app. Reports are important because they are documented proof that the ports have been tested. The NaviTEK NT Plus network troubleshooter automatically generates test reports in PDF or CSV format. The summary page of each report can be customized to include the logo, company, and operator details. There are three different reports (summary, brief, and full) that can show either passed, failed, or all test reports in each report.
