Built with a high-purity alumina ceramic body, this Type U male ceramic ultra-high-temperature miniature thermocouple connector is rated for use over -20 to 1200°F (-29 to 650°C). It accepts stranded or solid thermocouple wire and uses ANSI/IEC color coding for fast, correct connections. In addition, it works well for connecting thermocouple wire and probes to extension wire and instruments.

SHX subminiature connectors are ideal for use with fine gage thermocouple wires in applications where high temperatures are required. The SHX connector is permanently dot-coded to conform to ANSI and OMEGA standards; for applications such as high vacuum furnaces where contamination would adversely affect the process, USHX connectors are shipped with a removable color-coding dot. Two-piece ceramic construction assures long life, while the oversized terminal screws allow for easy wiring.
