With Trim-to-Size, Paddle, Liquid, this flow switch is used for pipe liquid flow detection and flow alarm monitoring.
The FSW-25 flow switch is activated by the force of liquid which moves the paddle detecting the flow of the liquid in the pipe. In static liquid or no liquid situations, the spring pushes the paddle back to the no-flow condition.
The reed switch is normally open. As flow occurs and the paddle is raised at an upward angle of 20 to 30 degrees (or more), the paddle will push the magnet upward to actuate the reed switch which then closes the circuit.
