The calibration reference transformer is used to help ensure the accuracy of a Megger 550005B single-phase hand-cranked transformer turns ratio set (sold separately). The transformer provides a reference standard for periodic calibration checks of the transformer turns ratio set to increase the accuracy of the TTR. Electricians and electrical contractors use the 550050 to test the accuracy of the 550005B.
