The manual mode allows you to manually zero to the background refrigerant with the press of a button; the alarm will not sound unless higher concentrations of refrigerant are detected.
The hydrophobic filter on the Inficon CO2 refrigerant leak detector allows air and refrigerants to pass through while filtering out water, dirt, and oil to ensure the sensor stays clean.
