D-Tek 3 CO2 Refrigerant Leak Detector 721-204-G1 is an updated version of the Inficon D-Tek with additional features such as an easy-to-change-sensor, quick-charge lithium-ion battery, and a new ergonomic design. This detector only comes with the CO2 sensor for locating leaks on commercial refrigeration systems, restaurant soda machines, or any other systems using R-744.
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is being used more and more in commercial applications such as grocery stores, cold rooms, walk-in freezers, industrial cold storage, and food manufacturing/processing. CO2 is less environmentally harmful than many of the previously used gases in these refrigeration applications. However, while beneficial in environmental impact, CO2 is a potentially dangerous gas to humans if high concentrations are present. Therefore, a CO2 refrigerant leak detector is a necessary tool for those service technicians working with these types of systems.
The Inficon D-Tek 3 CO2 refrigerant detector has increased sensitivity and versatility, allowing you to quickly and reliably locate CO2 leaks. This newly redesigned sensor has a sensitivity of 0. 07 oz. (2g/year) as well as having the longest sensor life (1000 hours) in the industry. The new and improved infrared sensor on the D-Tek 3 CO2 detector is easy to remove and replace in the field.
While the Inficon D-Tek 3 CO2 Refrigerant Leak Detector only includes a CO2 sensor, you can purchase the refrigerant sensor (p/n 724-701-G1), which will detect CFC, HCFCs, HFCs, HFOs, and blends, giving you two instruments in one.
A new and intuitive interface allows you to switch between operating mode and sensitivity level. Pinpoint mode zeroes to the background refrigerant automatically and has four different sensitivity levels to help you pinpoint leaks of any size. The manual mode allows you to manually zero to the background refrigerant with the press of a button; the alarm will not sound unless higher concentrations of refrigerant are detected.
The hydrophobic filter on the Inficon CO2 refrigerant leak detector allows air and refrigerants to pass through while filtering out water, dirt, and oil to ensure the sensor stays clean. Need a longer probe to check those hard-to-reach area? The D-Tek 3 CO2 leak detector includes a standard 17 probe, which is easy to remove, so you can quickly install the optional extra-long probe (27) for those hard-to-reach areas.
The D-Tek 3 721-204-G1 is powered by a quick-charge lithium-ion battery that lasts up to 10 hours with just a three-hour charge time.
Top 5 Reasons to own a D-TEK 3 Refrigerant Leak Detector:
1) High sensitivity: D-TEK 3 is highly sensitive to all refrigerants including CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs and HFOs.
2) Long-lasting sensor: The all-new, redesigned infrared sensor is among the longest lasting in the industry and does not degrade over time - making your leak detector as accurate and reliable as it was on day one until the day the sensor dies.
3) A2L certified: No need to carry an extra tool on A2L jobs - D-TEK 3 is certified for use with A2L semi-flammable refrigerants, such as R1234yf and R134a.
4) Field-replaceable components: Minimize downtime with D-TEK 3's field-replaceable sensor and rechargeable lithium ion battery.
5) 3-in-1 versatility: Swap D-TEK 3's refrigerant sensor for the optional flammable refrigerant sensor or CO2 sensor to detect almost any type of refrigerant - using one tool!
Advantages: Longest sensor life in the industry.
