The instrument can be used to tighten or loosen screws up to 90 lbf-in. The remote sensor design allows it to be used in difficult to reach places. The DIS-RL can be used to evaluate torque controlled screwdrivers by doing comparative tests on a given fastener. Both breakaway and loosening tests can be performed. DIS-RL substantially reduces scrap and rework costs by eliminating over and under-tightening of screws. It is ideal for use in a wide variety of applications including the manufacture of electronic, appliance and aerospace assemblies.
