How to Update Your Si2 Camera

Applications

  • Monitor transmission and distribution conductors and components at long distances easily and reduce need for emergency repairs

The Si1 and Si2-series cameras can be updated using Over The Air (OTA) update, or through USB. To update your camera through USB, please follow the instructions below. Make sure that you read all the steps before attempting the update.

  • Inspect substation transformers to detect PD issues early, before they result in a dangerous and costly explosion
  • Find PD issues in any piece of high-voltage equipment to reduce public complaints of radio interference and audible noise
  • Power utilities
  • Manufacturing
  • Mining
  • Aerospace
  • Oil and gas
  • Facility maintenance
  • Research and development
  • Reliability consultants
  • Specialty service providers: Compressed air, refrigeration
  • Electrical generation and transmission

Requirements:

  • Ensure that the battery is fully charged. You will not receive any warning or message before starting the update
  • To ensure a successful update installation, we recommend utilizing an unrestricted computer or workstation. This will help prevent any loss of information during the download or transfer process
