The industrial thermocouple assembly composed of the probe head, element, and thermowell is used in applications where it is important to remove the probe without draining the vessel. This type-j probe assembly is 4" long with ungrounded junction, has a ½" thread connection, and a temperature range of -32 to 1600°F.
The conductor of the thermocouple probe is composed of 20 gauge wire covered with a ceramic insulator. The thermowell is made from 316 stainless steel and the standard size aluminum head has a sealed cap that protects the terminal block from dust and moisture. The head has an opening side for a 3/4" NPT(F) connection to the electrical conduit. The industrial thermocouple probe assemblies offer greater accuracy in industrial applications, chemical processes, production lines, ovens, furnaces, and vessels.
