APG submersible pressure transmitters are incredibly versatile and inexpensive. They are used to measure the level of liquids within their temperature range. They are often used in waste liquids where the exact chemical makeup is ill defined. They are becoming very popular for battery powered applications because of their low current draw.

Functions
Designed for tank liquid level measurement, water and wastewater applications, and well depth measurement.
Submergible pressure transmitters work like other pressure transmitters except these are inside a water-tight housing, and read in feet or inches of liquid rather than PSI. These submergible pressure transmitters can be in any pressure type you need. The standard is gauge pressure or PSIG.
The pressure sensor itself uses a diaphragm with an attached electrical current. When the diaphragm flexes, the resistance on the small circuit changes in direct proportion to the pressure.
Features
Built-in Lightning Protection
Lighting is always a threat to exposed electrical infrastructures, especially when it is 40 feet underground. Included built-in lightning protection as a standard feature for every model.
Tank Cloud Compatible
As stated, the PT-500's low power consumption make it ideal for remote monitoring applications - especially when you're relying on solar or battery power. The Modbus version is compatible with our online remote monitoring software, Tank Cloud.
