The AcuHUM OAW outdoor air humidity and temperature sensors are IP65-rated and reinforced with a weather shield to protect against harsh weather exposure for more accurate readings. The six-layered weather shield features natural ventilation, reducing the thermal effect of UV radiation, snow, and rain, improving response time, and producing accurate measurements for long-term outdoor conditions. The AcuHUM OAW sensors offer an optional thermistor, RTD, or transmitter to provide temperature and RH readings in a single device.

Applications
Economizer Control
The AcuHUM OAW monitors outdoor relative humidity and dry-bulb temperature. This data can be used to calculate the enthalpy of the outside air to control economizers in air handling units. The calculated outdoor enthalpy will be used to determine if the conditions are ideal to use outdoor air for more efficient cooling instead of mechanical air conditioning. Using outdoor air for cooling has significant energy savings and improved indoor air quality.
Washdown Applications
Washdown applications are often integrated into industrial operations where the equipment must be regularly cleaned. The AcuHUM OAW sensor monitors the RH conditions to prevent microbial growth to maintain environmental compliance and maintain product quality. Calculating Dew Point
