Advanced digital polymer sensing technology provides precise relative humidity (RH) measurement, the AcuHUM OA series outdoor air relative humidity sensor offers long-term stability, fast response time, and ability to recover from condensation. The RH sensor can be mounted onto a vertical surface for monitoring outdoor RH/ temperature. With an IP65 rated enclosure, it is suitable for sheltered outdoor locations and protect against dust ingress and water. The AcuHUM OA sensor also features an optional thermistor, RTD, or transmitter to conveniently provide a temperature and RH measurement in a single device.

Applications
Economizer Control
The AcuHUM OA monitors outdoor relative humidity and dry-bulb temperature. This data can be used to calculate the enthalpy of the outside air to control economizers in air handling units. The calculated outdoor enthalpy will be used to determine if the conditions are ideal to use outdoor air for more efficient cooling instead of mechanical air conditioning. Using outdoor air for cooling has significant energy savings and improved indoor air quality.
Washdown Applications
Washdown applications are often integrated into industrial operations where the equipment must be regularly cleaned. The AcuHUM OA sensor monitors the RH conditions to prevent microbial growth to maintain environmental compliance and maintain product quality.
