How to check pH of Pools and Hot Tubs

The potential of hydrogen (pH) in your pool or hot tub is an indicator of acidity. Too low of a water pH (0-7) will damage your equipment, and cause irritations to you and your guests. Too high (8-14), and the effectiveness of your sanitizing agent will drop. Balancing and maintaining your pool and spas pH is vital to a clean experience, and this means keeping it between 7.2 and 7.8.
