3M Ground Man Monitors allow users to continuously monitor up to three connection
points on tools. The monitors indicate whether each individual ground connection being
monitored is within specification or has failed. Ideal applications include SMT pick-andplace tools, IC handlers, wire bonders, die attach and other tools.
Ground impedance alarm levels can be set by the user to satisfy a broad range of
requirements and compliance with standards such as ANSI 6.1 and ANSI/ESDA S20.20.
Adding additional reliability, the host tool is provided a logic level signal to shut the tool
down in case of ground failure. Miniature and unobtrusive, the Ground Man Monitors
are easy to install and easy to connect.
Use 3M Ground Man Plus Monitor CTC334 to monitor all important ground connections
in the tool and an operator. This monitor adds wrist strap monitoring to allow only
properly grounded operators to work with the sensitive devices.
