3M 4720 Dual Conductor Wrist Band, Blue

 

Made to be used in conjunction with the 3M™ Workstation Monitor 724 and the 3M™ Wrist Strap Monitor 725, the 4720 offers several unique features to provide high-tech businesses cutting edge equipment at low cost.

The dual conductor wrist band is connected to the 3M Workstation or Wrist Strap Monitor via a 3M™ Dual Conductor Ground Cord 2300 Series. The cords (2360, 2360R, 2391, 2370, 2370R, 2392, 2371, 2371R, 2393) are sold separately to allow customers the option of purchasing a cord in 5 ft., 10 ft. and 20 ft. lengths respectively.

3M's exclusive "comfort bumps" design on the conductive interior insert ensures not only increased contact with the skin, but also air flow between the band and skin, resulting in more comfort for the wearer.

Made of thermoplastic material, the Dual Conductor Wrist Band 4720 is lightweight and low profile, making reliable contact to the skin, ensuring employee acceptance while providing an effective grounding device. It is well know that high contact resistance between a wristband and arm can be attributed to improper fit, dry skin or arm hair. The pliable thermoplastic materials of the Wrist Band 4720 conforms to the arm, increasing the amount of contact area. The comfort bumps also aid in bringing the conductive interior of the band into contact with the skin. In 3M field trials with the 4720, reduced contact resistance between the wristband and arm were noted. This improvement was also observed when compared to standard metal and fabric wristbands.

The "zipper" style latching mechanism easily adjusts to any size wrist, effecting a "one size fits all," allowing for a secure and comfortable fit. After adjusing for proper fit to the arm, any excess band material is cut off so that the end will be contained within the latch area. The Dual Conductor Wrist Band 4720 is highly visible, making it easy for supervisors to see that the wrist band is properly used.
